An Advent Retreat with Fr. Ron Rolheiser
Unlike Lent, Advent is not a penitential season. The color of Advent is not purple or black. It’s crimson, the color of desire, of longing, of a particular kind of fire. Advent is a time to get in touch with the longing and desire within us. As T.S. Eliot so poetically puts it: We only live, we only suspire, caught between fire and fire. This retreat will examine the fires of desire within and will try point to which kinds of desire cure other kinds of desire. Curing fire by fire!
